We had no idea that Anna had anything wrong with her. She was born four weeks early, which I thought was due to stress. Upon discharge from the hospital a heart murmer was heard and we were told to follow up with the cardio at 4 weeks of age. An echo was done and EKG and we were then told to come back at 6 months of age. This is when all the bells and whistle went off, and the pulomonary valve was found ( very thicken) on June 20th she underwent a failed balloon cath. This was the first time we heard the word "Noonie baby" or Noonan's Syndrome. Possibly Noonish valve. We were stunned!! Four weeks after we found ourselves finding a surgeon in Rochester NY, at Strong Memorial Hospital Anna underwent Open Heart. I felt like our hearts were being ripped out. However, I have a totally different look upon this whole experience now. We have a precious Angel and the surgeon saved her life!! She is the most precious, special little one, ever. She lights up people everywhere she goes, and she has had quite a year. She has traveled the world in one year. Her father works for the bank and we travel everywhere with him. He doesn't want her out of his sight. I write this from you right now from Hainan Island in CHINA. We will spend another week in Hong Kong -- So as you can see she is doing very well exploring the world with her mother and father. Love to you all. I am very interested in anyone from the Western NY area, Buffalo NY.
