Tiny Titan, Journey of Hope By Ann Yurcek

Tiny Titan, Journey of Hope" Published May, 2006.
With a quiver of five healthy children and another on the way the Yurcek family had attained the American Dream. Jim's income provided for
all the necessities and they made ends meet with frugal living. Ann's
creativity added exclusively designed hand sewn clothes and healthy
meals. They looked like a normal American family as they lived from
paycheck to paycheck. All that was about to change with the birth of
their sixth child born with a rare genetic disorder (Noonan Syndrome) .
The Yurcek's were plunged into the invisible sea of nothingness. Jim
lost his job and then another. Ann struggled with their dying baby and
caring for five hungry little mouths. The parents went without food for
days in order to feed the children. This is the story of miracles as a
desperate family at the bottom climbs out. Incredibly they take a family
of children even more desperate then they are with them. Tiny Titan is a
story of the human American spirit, the personal angels who accompanied
them and the resilient tiny titan who continues to affect the lives of
many.
Ann continues her journey in giving she recently decided to donate a 100% of ALL
proceeds* of book sales to TNSSG, Inc. *(from books sold by TNSSG, Inc.)

I have been working on an idea that I wanted to
pass on to you. There has been a lot of discussion in the group about the
leg and joint pain. My son also has issues and wakes up crying and
screaming. I did a bunch of research and came up with a plan to make "pain
pals". These are corn filled bags that you heat in the microwave or put in
the freezer for a cold pack. In the research I did I found that rice
and wheat can dry out, scorch and even catch fire with long term use.
There are warnings on fire safety web-sites, Flax-seed is also sometimes used
but due to it's high concentration of oil it may not be safe around oxygen.
The bags that I make also come with a slip cover so you can wash the cover and
not worry about the bag itself. If there are issues of getting bodily
fluid the inner bag can also be put in a Zip lock baggie after heating to help
keep it clean. I could offer these to the group for $8.oo each with 1 slip
cover included. Additional covers would be $3.00 each. I would also
give 50% back to the group. One "Pain Pal" would give the group $5.50.
There would be a flat shipping charge of $3.95 US I haven't looked into overseas
yet. I can also customize covers for character favorites etc... My sons is
Elmo. Let me know what you think. Mari Hammel toyswithmari@mchsi.com
